Eduardo Galeano, one of Latin America's best known writers, discusses his recent book, "Mirrors: Stories of Almost Everyone" and the world-wide attention that he received when President Hugo Chavez of Venezuela gave his book "Open Veins of Latin America" to President Barack Obama at the Summit of the Americas in April 2009. The book shot up to #2 on Amazon, and stimulated interest Galeano's many books, among them "Upside Down, a Primer for the Looking Glass World" and "Days and Nights of Love and War." Galeano was awarded the Lannan Foundation's Award for Cultural Freedom in 1999.
